Cookies and local storage

Nothing. There is no cookie from this site, no cookie from anyone else, and no analytics script. Google Analytics is not configured, and the code is written so that without an identifier nothing is loaded at all: no script, no cookie, no consent banner. There is nothing to consent to yet.

Fonts are served from this domain, so no request goes to Google Fonts or any other outside service. There are no social network pixels, no embedded maps and no video players from other platforms.

The company may decide to measure how many people visit and how many of them send a request. If that happens, this is the order of events, and it is enforced by the code rather than by a policy.

• A banner asks you first. Nothing loads until you answer.
• If you agree, Google Analytics 4 is loaded and sets its own cookies. This page will then name them and say how long they last.
• If you decline, nothing is loaded, and you are not asked again.
• Your answer is kept in your browser under the key concord.analytics.consent, using local storage rather than a cookie. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
• You can change your mind at any time, at the bottom of this page. Switching analytics off also deletes the cookies it set.

The difference matters legally and technically. A cookie is sent to the server with every request. Local storage is not sent anywhere: it sits in your browser and only the page can read it. The one value described above is the only thing this site would ever put there, and only after you answer the banner.

For the same reason there is no cookie wall on this site. Under the Austrian Telecommunications Act and the GDPR, consent is required before storing anything that is not strictly necessary. We store nothing, so there is nothing to ask about.

The form does not use cookies either. What it sends, where it is stored and how long it is kept is described on the privacy page, which is the right place for it.
